Whatever domestic chores your wife has lined up for you this Saturday, you might want to put them on hold. This will be one of the best Saturday’s for multiple great games in a long time. The SEC West is where it all starts. I don’t know if I have ever seen more really good teams in one division of one conference! Look at these match-ups we have this week:
4-0 Alabama vs. 4-0 Ole Miss
5-0 Texas A&M vs. 4-0 Mississippi State
4-0 Auburn vs. 4-1 LSU
LSU’s loss was against an undefeated Mississippi State. These six teams have only 1 loss between them and all of the teams are in the Top 15 in the nation. Another game that will be just as exciting is
5-0 Nebraska vs. 3-1 Michigan State
This game will be one for the “old timers”. These two teams would love to put concrete pillars down the hashes and play the game between the hashes. Nebraska loves to run the ball; they are 2nd in the nation at 354 yards per game. Michigan States specialty is stopping the run, only giving up 78 yards per game. You might want to put some Band-Aids beside your chair…this one could be bloody. And I haven’t even mentioned 8th ranked…
4-0 Notre Dame vs. 13th ranked Stanford
Stanford is #1 in the nation in scoring defense, total defense, and passing yards allowed. Notre Dame averages 35 pts. a game and 444 yards of total offense.
