Today Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is scheduled to speak to the United States Congress. His concerns are the continued threat of Iran’s capability of securing a nuclear bomb and the immediate danger it possesses to Israel’s safety, security, and its existence. The statements are too numerous to list for the number of times that Iran’s leaders have called for the destruction and annihilation of Israel.
If there is to be a World War III, it will probably be in the Middle East. The United States has one, and only one true ally, Israel. Israel is the only country in the Middle East that allows its people true “American Freedom”. By speaking to Congress, he wants to make sure he has done everything in his power to let the American people know the dangers of a Nuclear Iran. Obviously, as a Christian, I am a supporter of Israel. I do this financially and with prayer. Depending on what poll you read, around 75% of Americans claim to be Christians, including President Obama.
I don’t know of any Christian that doesn’t agree with the Biblical Scripture that clearly states Gods special Covenant with the nation of Israel. While there are hundreds of references to this Covenant in the Bible, the one verse that is possibly used the most is Genesis 12:3: ” I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you, And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed”. It seems to me that our Government should put politics aside and bend over backyards to extend every courtesy we have to Prime Minister Netanyahu and the nation of Israel. I don’t care who’s mad that he’s speaking, the Democrats, the Republicans, the President, John Kerry or Valerie Jarrett…. I just know one thing… we better not make God mad!!!
